These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the BusGenie website at busgenie.co.uk (the "Service"). The Service is operated by A3YD Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17245060, with its registered office at 71–75 Shelton Street, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service

BusGenie provides bus timetable, stop, route, operator, and live vehicle information for Great Britain, compiled from public data sources. The BusGenie website and its original content are provided for general information and personal, non-commercial use. The underlying open data shown on the Service remains available for reuse under its own licences (see "Intellectual property and data licensing" below).

Accuracy of information

Transit information on BusGenie is drawn from third-party sources including the Bus Open Data Service (BODS), the Traveline National Dataset (TNDS), and the Transport for London (TfL) Unified API. While we aim to present this data accurately, we do not operate the bus services and cannot guarantee that timetables, routes, arrival predictions, or live positions are complete, current, or error-free. Always allow for delays and check with the relevant operator before travelling. You rely on the information at your own risk.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service in any unlawful way or for any unlawful purpose;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to, interfere with, or disrupt the Service, its servers, or networks;
• place an unreasonable load on our infrastructure, including through automated scraping, bulk downloading, or excessive automated requests;
• copy, resell, or commercially exploit the Service or its content except as permitted by the applicable data licences; or
• misrepresent the source of the data or remove required attributions.

Intellectual property and data licensing

The BusGenie name, design, and original content are owned by A3YD Ltd. The underlying transit data is provided by third parties under their own licences: stop and place data is published under the Open Government Licence v3.0, and the Service is powered in part by TfL Open Data. Your use of that data is subject to those licences and their attribution requirements.

Third-party links and services

The Service may load resources from, or link to, third-party services such as map tile providers (OpenStreetMap and CARTO) and operator websites. We are not responsible for the content, availability, or practices of third-party services, which are governed by their own terms and policies.

Availability

We provide the Service on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice, and we do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, A3YD Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss or damage arising from your reliance on information provided through the Service, including missed connections or travel disruption. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

Our handling of your information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when we do, and your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
